Munaf Husain is a writer, producer, director, actor and photographer based in Toronto. He was born and raised in Bombay, India and studied film at Columbia College, Los Angeles before returning to India where he worked in the film and television industry for almost ten years.
During this period he produced, wrote, and directed commercials and corporate videos for clients that include Kodak, Procter & Gamble, Colgate-Palmolive, Bennet Coleman, Cadbury's and Cussons (UK). He wrote scripts for episodic television, taught Film and Video Production, conducted workshops for film students and wrote film articles for publications such as The Times Sunday Review. His range of experience also includes editing and camerawork on over 50 documentary videos.
He immigrated to Canada in 1998 and has been working in the film industry in Toronto since then. He has worked there as an Assistant Director on feature films, TV movies and television series and has assisted the executive producers on the US network television series "DOC" and "Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye".
Munaf has done filming/photography in the US, UK, India, Portugal, Mexico, Denmark, Poland, Italy and of course Canada.
He is presently the Production and Creative Head of Dancing Light Pictures.
